During my time working at PlayHybrid, we received an interesting brief from Nike to create a virtual shoe store. This wouldn't be just another storefront that you walk into, but an intimate, personal space where the Nike AF1s and Waffle shoes were presented to the user as museum pieces that stand the test of time.
During my time working at PlayHybrid, we received an interesting brief from Nike to create a virtual shoe store. This wouldn't be just another storefront that you walk into, but an intimate, personal space where the Nike AF1s and Waffle shoes were presented to the user as museum pieces that stand the test of time.
The user is transported to a virtual space with simple-to-understand controls and intuitive progression, where they can tap on floating hotspots around the shoe to learn more about its features.

We implemented multiple color variations for the shoe, with a clever mechanic where floating orbs splash a coat of fresh paint onto the shoe whenever you touch them.
